Yeah, those KC-10 pieces were always the worst, cashiers would give me a “really” stare and sigh...

I hate coins with a pashion, I would much rather have an airplane. I pretty much hate all physical currency; would rather everything be digital. Or even better use a finger print or retinal or barcode scan to pay for all things. It’s vastly annoying to be unable to purchase something just because I happen to not have cash on me. 99.9% of the time I use zero cash. Until the time that I need it and there are no ATMs around. But yeah coins are even worse. I can’t keep them in my wallet and they get lost in my pockets/bag/under my seat.

I keep cash for tips, and if I’m on trips taking me away from big cities. Otherwise, agreed

My late grandmother would be happy to know that her mother country has advanced enough to use full planes as coinage.

I look at it as internet is everywhere, there is no friggin reason why they cant take a card in places. I think the fees businesses should have to pay should be way fairer and I really wish it was a cash/debit vs credit price since there is a definite distinction in how much they pay for it. I just avoid gas stations with cash pricing, I dont support their business model lol.
I just take out $40-$60 every once in a while so I have some minimal cash but I don’t really replenish it often. Main motivation anyways is that someone can steal my credit cards and get $0. My only loss is waiting for the new cards to be mailed. Cash is gone forever if lost.

If you think that the internet is everywhere, come visit eastern North Carolina sometime. There were a lot of cash only places there, and plenty of places that don’t have cell service or internet.
As for coins, I pretty much had no use for them until I started playing pinball. Now quarters are essential.

Cash is a nuisance and I try to avoid it. I use Google Pay almost everywhere. I came across this place in London a couple of weeks ago:
